Turkey Visa Online Requirements
Foreign visitors and tourists of certain countries are allowed by Republic of Turkey to visit the country without having to go through the lengthy process of applying for the traditional or paper Turkish Visa which involves a visit to nearest Turkey embassy or consulate. Instead, eligible foreign visitors can travel to Turkey by applying for the Turkey Electronic Travel Authorization or Turkey eVisa which can be completed entirely online in a matter of few minutes.
Turkey e-Visa is an official document issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Turkey that acts as a Visa waiver and allows international travelers coming to the country via air through commercial or chartered flights to visit the country with ease and convenience.
Once your eVisa for Turkey has been issued it will be linked directly and electronically to your passport and will be valid for upto 180 days from the date of issue. Depending upon your country of passport, the Turkey e-Visa can be used multiple times to visit Turkey for short durations of time, lasting no more than 90 days within the 180 period, although the actual duration will depend on the purpose of your visit and will be decided by the border officials and stamped on your passport.

Eligibility Requirements for Turkey e-Visa
Passport holders of following countries and territories can obtain Turkey Visa Online for a fee prior to arrival. The duration of stay for most of these nationalities is 90 days within 180 days.
Turkey eVisa is valid for a period of 180 days. The duration of stay for most of these nationalities is 90 days within a six (6) months time period. Turkey Visa Online is a multiple entry visa.
Conditional Turkey eVisa
Passport holders of the following countries are eligible to apply for a single entry Turkey Visa Online on which they can stay for up to 30 days only if they satisfy the conditions listed below:
Conditions:
- All nationalities must hold a valid Visa (or a Tourist Visa) from one of Schengen countries, Ireland, United States or United Kingdom .
OR
- All nationalities must hold a Residence Permit from one of Schengen countries, Ireland, United States or United Kingdom
Note: Electronic visas (e-Visa) or e-Residence permits are not accepted.
Passport Requirements for Turkey Electronic Visa
The Turkey e-Visa is linked directly to your passport and the type of passport you have will also determine whether you are eligible for applying for the Turkey e-Visa or not. Following passport holders can apply for the Electronic Turkey Visa:
- Holders of Ordinary Passports issued by countries eligible for the Turkey e-Visa .
Following passport holders are not eligible for the Electronic Turkey Visa:
- Holders of Diplomatic, Official, or Service Passports of eligible countries
- Holders of Identity Card/Emergency/Temporary Passports of eligible countries.
You cannot enter Turkey even if your Turkey e-Visa has been approved if you are not carrying proper documentation with you. You must travel with the passport which was used to enter information while filling the Electronic Turkey Visa Application and on which the duration of your stay in Turkey will be stamped by the border officials.
Other Requirements for Application of Turkey e-Visa
When applying for the Electronic Turkey Visa online you will be required to have the following:
- Passport
- Email address and phone number
- A debit or credit card or a PayPal account to pay the Turkey e-Visa application fees
If you meet all of these eligibility and other requirements for the Electronic Turkey Visa then you will quite easily be able to obtain the same and visit the country. However, you should keep in mind that in exceptional circumstances, it is possible that Turkish authorities may not permit an e-visa-holder to enter into Turkey, if at the time of entry you do not have all your documents, such as your passport, in order, which will be checked by the border officials; if you pose any health or financial risk; and if you have previous criminal/terrorist history or previous immigration issues.
